If you compare this sunset photo from the ones taken back in March it makes it drastically clear how far the sun shifts from Winter Summer. Before it was setting south of Santa Catalina Island, now it Sets over Dana Point/Laguna Beach
We found this friendly fellow crawling around behind our clay pots when we were watering our plants.
Just to give those an idea to those not yet convinced of what a view we have. This is the view from the kitchen looking through the living room.
San Clemente was named after San Clemente Island, which in turn was named by the explorer Vizcaino in 1602 after Saint Clement, whose feast day occurs on November 23, the day of Vizcaino's arrival on the island. The Island is straight off the beach, not barely visible in this photo at sunset.
We met some friendly folks in Sothern California who were cool enough to let us barrow some gear and go surfing.
