New Orleans has this wonderful blue lettering they use to label the intersecting streets in the sidewalk
Our very good friends Emily and Fritz have very graciously let us stay with them for the new years at there very cool and colorful apt off of Washington.
I like this photo because if you look in the reflection of the still water, you can not only see the tourists gawking off the bridge but you can also see the reflection of a great blue heron and fish swimming in the water.
here are some photo's from our trip to New Orleans -- a few in the Upper Garden District, and a few at Jean Lafitte.
We were there with a few of our friends we haven't seen in a really log time, so that was very refreshing -- yeah.
A stop at Cafe Barazil on the (long) walk from Canal to Mimi's in the Marigny
whoa, there was a film being shot right outside our hotel window on the 300 block of Magazine. We think the film is: The curious case of Benjamin Button.
The New Orleans Board of Trade was right across the street, built and
used for the trade of green coffee until the 60's ... maybe proof of
the power and influence of coffee.
