Yesterday our Diplomas came in the mail.
First time voting; In my defense I've never before lived in the state that I was registered. But our friend Robert insisted.
Not very crowded mid day at this voting location.
Our good friend and old roommate Emily was in town as she made her way back to New orleans.
Friday night we found our way to this fundraiser for a documentary where they had live performances by these noise musicians playing cello, dry ice, and snare drum w/ backscratcher (not pictured). All the trendy hipsters loved it. the über high warehouse ceiling was not the best for acoustics, but when you are playing dry ice does anyone really care?

This is some responsible policing--any guess who is at fault here. I for one am tired of cops speeding through neighborhoods and running red lights as if they answer to no one.

Spring has finally sprung at the University; tulip magnolia trees are in bloom around campus. Here a row of trees were given off a fragrant air to the midway.
Here in Hyde Park, a neighborhood of Chicago -- the first flowers to bloom are crocous. Matt & I spotted a few out today on a walk for coffee.
